Project Lifestart is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports youth living in under-resourced communities. The organization was initiated after a group of friends (from USA and South Africa) came together with a shared vision: to uplift and empower the youth of South Africa. By partnering with local organizations and schools, we were able to teach essential mental health skills to 100 teachers and students in Mpumalanga, South Africa over the past two years.
From these insightful projects, it became clear that continuing efforts and meaningful collaboration were essential to assisting youth in achieving their goals. These early initiatives illustrated the need for a structured approach to support youth, ultimately leading to the formation of our organization.
Challenges such as poverty, gender inequality, conflict and violence can significantly hinder the educational success and development of youth. We recognize that these barriers can significantly impact them as they transition into adulthood. Our vision is to create an environment where youth are propelled toward a brighter future, equipped with access to the resources and opportunities necessary for them to thrive. We remain deeply committed to ensuring that every young person has the chance for a successful future.
